Prepare now for the new NaviNet® Authorizations transaction

October 10, 2017

[

As a reminder, AmeriHealth will soon transition to a new medical management system for processing authorization requests. As part of this transition, the Authorizations transaction on the NaviNet web portal will be upgraded. The new transaction will streamline the various authorization submission types (ER Notification, Medical/Surgical, Chemotherapy Infusion, Home Health, DME, and Home Infusion) into one workflow.

Important resources

For your convenience, below is a list of resources that are available in the NaviNet Resources section to help make this a smooth transition for your office:

  • A NaviNet? Authorizations transaction: Frequently asked questions (FAQ) can help answer any questions you have on the new Authorizations transaction. The FAQ is also available in the Frequently Asked Questions section of AmeriHealth NaviNet Plan Central under Administrative Tools & Resources. Note: The FAQ may be updated as more information becomes available.
  • A newly created Authorizations Census Report Job Aid will assist you in searching for all authorizations associated with your organization as a requesting or servicing provider.
  • Various user guides and instructional videos are also available to help you navigate the new Authorizations transaction.

Action Required: Optimizing your browser and adding trusted sites

It is important for providers who submit authorization requests to prepare for the upcoming changes to the Authorizations transaction. Review the Optimizing Your Browser and Adding Trusted Sites Guide, which can be found in the NaviNet Resources section. Optimizing your browser and adding trusted sites allows data to flow seamlessly between NaviNet and your office, which will improve the performance of the Authorizations transaction.
