We would like to remind physicians that the Drug Pre-Authorization and
Formulary transaction on the NaviNet® web portal should
not be used to submit prior authorization requests for oral medications
that are shipped directly to our members. The Drug Pre-Authorization and
Formulary transaction should be used only for injectable drugs sent via
the Direct Ship Injectables Program.
To request prior authorization for oral medications, use the instructions
listed in the Pharmacy section of our website or refer to the Pharmacy section of
the appropriate Provider Manual for Participating Professional
Providers.
