AmeriHealth New Jersey is introducing a
new Individual Healthcare (IHC) Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) product.
The new IHC EPO product will be available between the first and second quarters
of 2013.* AmeriHealth New Jersey EPO is a network-based product that allows
members to visit in-network providers and hospitals without a referral.
Although choosing a primary care physician is encouraged to promote preventive
services and coordinate health care, it is not required with this product.
AmeriHealth New Jersey EPO members must
use network providers in order to access their benefits; this product does not
have out-of-network benefits. Preventive services are covered at 100 percent.
To check member eligibility through
NaviNet?, select Member Eligibility and Benefits Inquiry from the
Plan Transactions menu. If your office location has not yet registered for
NaviNet, you must do so by April 1, 2013. To register, go to NaviNet and select Sign Up from the top right. Providers can also
check eligibility through the Provider Automated System by calling 1-800-275-2583.
