The Federally Facilitated Marketplace (healthcare.gov) is transitioning to state-based exchanges (SBE) for 2021 health insurance plans in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Starting November 1, 2020, New Jersey residents can purchase commercial health care coverage through the New Jersey state-based exchange, Get Covered New Jersey. Pennsylvania residents can purchase commercial health care coverage through the new Pennsylvania state-based exchange, PennieTM.
These new state-based exchanges replace the federal marketplace, healthcare.gov. Your patients can use Pennie and Get Covered New Jersey to shop for, compare, and buy health insurance. Account information for your patients who have previously used healthcare.gov has been transferred to these websites to allow for a seamless transition.
