Effective July 1, 2022, AmeriHealth Administrators has delegated precertification for certain utilization management (UM) services to AIM Specialty Health® (AIM) and eviCore healthcare (eviCore). Providers must request precertification for members in the Enhanced Utilization Program for applicable UM services by contacting the respective vendor directly:
- AIM: 1-833-305-1810
- eviCore: 1-800-918-8924
AIM
Providers should seek precertification from AIM for:
- cardiology covered modalities
- high-technology radiology
- musculoskeletal
- spine surgery
- interventional pain management
- joint surgery
- sleep studies, continuous positive airway pressure titration studies, and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices
eviCore
Providers should seek precertification from eviCore for:
- certain genetic/genomic tests (i.e., nucleic acid testing) and certain molecular analyses
