Effective August 29, 2022, AmeriHealth HMO, Inc., AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey, and AmeriHealth Administrators have updated their medical policy on outpatient physical medicine, rehabilitation, and habilitation services for Commercial members.
The following billing requirements have been added to this policy:
- To report rehabilitation services, append the following modifier: Modifier 97-Rehabilitative services.
- Modifier CO and CQ must be used to report services performed by an occupational therapy assistant or physical therapy assistant.
