This free implicit bias training from March of Dimes offers several key benefits:

  • It's free (limit 100 attendees).
  • Physicians can earn 1.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
  • Nurses can earn 1.5 American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) contact hours.
  • It's virtual and takes 90 minutes to complete (participants can save while in progress and return to complete).
  • It's available until September 1, 2023.

Why are we offering this?

Demographic factors (e.g., race, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, and gender identity) can influence how people experience the health care system, as well as the health outcomes they achieve. That is why we are collaborating with March of Dimes, the leading organization fighting for the health of all moms and babies, to support our efforts to promote equity in maternal care settings.

Why should I take this training?

As a participant, you will hear true stories from mothers who have experienced discrimination and bias in maternal care settings. In addition, you will learn about structural racism and how it can impact health care interactions.

You will also receive tools to help you mitigate racial bias in maternity care and build a culture of equity within your organization.

Thank you for joining us in our commitment to address the root causes of health inequity and create healthier outcomes for your patients (our members).
