Effective April 13, 2023, AmeriHealth HMO, Inc., AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey, and AmeriHealth Administrators will update their medical policy on ankle-foot/knee-ankle-foot orthoses for Commercial members.

The face-to-face requirement language will change, and criteria will be added to this policy as Not Medically Necessary:

• Ankle-Foot/Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthoses of any type worn to facilitate participation in sports.
