We are actively working on ways to support you in your interactions with the PEAR portal. In the coming months, we will be launching a robust help center within the tool itself. For now, you may find a growing library of high-level overviews of the PEAR portal, its tools, and detailed training materials to support your use on a self-service on-demand basis.

PEAR portal

The PEAR, or Provider Engagement, Analytics & Reporting, portal offers a single point of entry to multiple applications for participating providers. It provides fast, secure web access to applications designed to help you manage your clinical and certain financial activities related to your patients who are members of Independence Blue Cross, Independence Administrators, AmeriHealth Pennsylvania, AmeriHealth New Jersey, and AmeriHealth Administrators. In addition, it's a vehicle for you to obtain a variety of plan information specific to your provider organization as it relates to providing care for your patients.

​Introduction to PEAR​


PAT

The Provider Administration Tool (PAT) allows the designated Organization Administrator or Location Administrator to provision and manage practice end-user access to the PEAR portal and its applications. The Organization and Location Administrator's view of PAT will differ depending on their practice type. PEAR portal end-users do not have access to PAT. 

​PAT users are invited to attend a live training at a time suitable to their schedule. Please review the following guidance related to the live trainings we offer: 

  • Prior to participating in one of the training sessions, please download the GoToMeeting application via the following link: https://global.gotomeeting.com/install/
  • Each GoToMeeting session is limited to 150 participants per session (first come/first serve).
  • Sessions will start promptly 5 minutes after the scheduled hour, allowing a five-minute grace period for participants to sign in.
  • Individual questions from participants cannot be entertained during the sessions; however, if time permits, questions will be addressed at the end of the session. Any remaining questions can be submitted via the Provider eBusiness Inquiry form.

​​​IndexPro 

IndexPro is an online, self-service, and on-demand reporting tool for participating providers. It delivers access to timely data and actionable incentive program reports, delivered through a secure connection. IndexPro offers a centralized site for providers to review and compare their performance to their peers of the same specialty and identify opportunities for improvement. A variety of practice-level reports and dashboards provide a real-time view of data specific to your practice or entity. Currently, the reports available in IndexPro are applicable to those participating primary care practices with a panel size greater than 50 and certain specialists, such as cardiologists and endocrinologists. 

Note: If your panel size is less than 50, you will not need to obtain access to the PEAR portal at this time since IndexPro focuses on reports for participating primary care practices with larger panel sizes.


PEAR Practice Management 

PEAR Practice Management is the newest application on the PEAR portal. It will replace the NaviNet® web portal (NaviNet Open) and will connect you to the plan information and transactions you use every day in caring for your patients, providing you with a streamlined and simplified experience. 

PEAR Practice Management is not yet available to our provider network; it will be rolled out gradually in the first half of 2021. More information on your practice's PEAR Practice Management launch date and how to get ready will be shared in the coming months. For now, continue to use to NaviNet Open and refer to the PEAR Practice Management FAQ for more information.
