Independence requires professional physicians and specialists to complete the credentialing application process before providing care to Independence members.*
To avoid delays in the the credentialing application process, be sure to complete each step of the submission process.

If you have a primary practice address in Pennsylvania or Delaware and would like to join our network(s), you
must apply for credentialing by completing

If your practice contracts with multiple health plans, the CAQH ProView application minimizes the administrative work needed to fill out multiple, redundant, and time-consuming forms.
NCQA regulations require all credentialed providers to reapply every 36 months. Independence will notify providers due for recredentialing 6 months prior to allow ample time to complete the process.

*Behavioral health providers must be credentialed by and contracted with Magellan Healthcare, Inc., an independent company. Interested behavioral health providers can contact Magellan by selecting the “Join the Network" link or by contacting their Magellan Provider Services Line at 1-800-788-4005 for assistance.
