Independence Blue Cross (IBX) would like to remind you that starting July 1, 2024, BlueCard® Host processing (claims for out-of-area members) will be processed on the new platform. IBX, as your local Blue Cross® Plan (Host Plan), may request medical records from you, the local IBX network provider, related to services rendered to an out-of-area member.
We ask that you respond within the 10-day allotted time frame for these requests.
Submitting records
When returning the medical records, please be sure to include the cover letter along with the requested records. This helps us effectively handle the records.
Faxing is the preferred return method as it reduces processing time. However, you can mail the records to the address provided when there is an excessive number of pages to send.
