The importance of responding when HelpScript calls your office

Please ask your Billing or Claims staff to respond to calls coming from HelpScript, an independent company. HelpScript is working with Independence Blue Cross (IBX) to reduce member cost-share by coordinating enrollment into copay assistance programs for medical specialty drugs administered by health care providers.

HelpScript can help provide significant savings to our members, which can improve adherence and clinical outcomes. Eligible members must enroll in HelpScript according to group benefits for covered drugs.

Key elements of the HelpScript service

  • HelpScript determines eligibility based on the availability of assistance for the drug and the manufacturer criteria for assistance.  
  • Enrollment materials are sent (to members) by mail. A HelpScript Patient Advocate contacts members by phone to facilitate enrollment and answer questions.
  • Following patient enrollment, HelpScript contacts you (the provider's billing office) to gather required documentation and ensure that your patient (our member) can benefit from this service.

If your patient (our member) is enrolled in HelpScript, they will reach out to you to ensure all the necessary secondary claim billing is in place. Please ask your Billing or Claims staff to respond to calls coming from HelpScript.
