Follow the steps outlined below to locate benefits and cost-share information for telemedicine and behavioral health services using the Eligibility & Benefits transaction in the Practice Management application on the Provider Engagement, Analytics & Reporting (PEAR) portal.
For telebehavioral health services, please contact the Behavioral Health Customer Care Provider team at 1-800-688-1911 (Independence Blue Cross) or 1-800-778-2119 (Independence Administrators) to verify eligibility and cost-share information.
Services offered:
- Telemedicine Visit: Services rendered to a member by a participating provider that is not physically present.
- Virtual Care: Services rendered to a member that is not physically present via a specific designated vendor (e.g., Teledoc).
- Behavioral Health: Includes services rendered to a member for mental health and/or substance abuse.
Note that benefits may vary by plan and/or group.
Telemedicine
To view coverage and associated cost-share for telemedicine services, ensure you select Physician Services from the Benefits & Coverages menu. Note: Selecting Virtual Care will only display information on virtual-only care platforms (e.g., Teledoc).

Behavioral Health
To view coverage and associated cost-share for behavioral health services, ensure you select Other Medical Services from the Benefits & Coverages menu.
