Archival of policy regarding cardiac pacemaker reporting

As of January 27, 2020, the Independence Claim Payment Policy #03.02.13f: Evaluation or Setup of a Cardiac Pacemaker Reported with an Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) was archived.

Reason for policy archival

Independence follows the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Code Pair Edits. These edits will be applied to the reporting of ECG/EKG codes in conjunction with the CPT® procedure codes reported for an evaluation or setup of a cardiac pacemaker.
