ICD-10: Information in this section focuses on various ICD-10 transition-related requirements and our plans to comply with the mandated transition.

HIPAA 5010: This section also includes information about our compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Independence accepts and issues all electronic claim or remittance transactions in the 5010 format. Providers should be in compliance with HIPAA 5010 transaction and code set requirements as a prerequisite for the conversion to ICD-10.
