Get up-to-date health notifications for your patients

August 16, 2017

Get up-to-date health notifications for your patients through robust and streamlined daily reporting. HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. (HSX), an independent nonprofit company, is the health information exchange serving the greater Philadelphia region. It links electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of health care insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.

HSX uses its Encounter Notification Service (ENS) to provide alerts about recent emergency and inpatient encounters to providers through direct secure messaging. By choosing ENS, subscribing providers receive notifications when their patients are seen in an emergency room, admitted to a hospital or long-term care facility, or discharged.

For more information

Visit the HSX website to review detailed descriptions of the services provided, administrative fees, frequently asked questions, testimonials, and information on how to sign up for services. For questions on HSX, please email Pam Clarke, HSX Senior Director, at Pam.Clarke@hsxsepa.org.
