In the coming weeks, Independence will conduct an
assessment of our Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) audit process. This
effort is to ensure that we have the proper protocols in place to prepare for,
and comply with, requirements from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services. This assessment will pertain to medical records for 2015 dates of
service for select Independence Medicare Advantage HMO members.
We have contracted with Accenture?, an
independent medical record retrieval vendor, to collect medical records on
Independence’s behalf. If your office receives a request for medical
records, we ask for your cooperation in providing the information in a timely
manner.
