As of July 1, 2018, Independence has contracted with a new, 
independent, spending account administrator for Independence members.
You can expect to see some differences in how your spending account 
Explanation of Payment (EOP) will appear as the transition occurs. The new EOPs 
will be sent along with a physical check payment. Note: Spending 
account payments will no longer be made via 
electronic funds transfer.
Members with spending accounts will be transitioned to the new account 
administrator as follows:
- New HSA, HRA, and FSA members will be assigned to the new account 
administrator effective July 1, 2018.
- Existing HSA, HRA, and FSA members will be assigned based on plan renewal 
dates beginning with September 1, 2018, effective dates. Customers will 
continue to use the current method of spending account payments until their 
renewal date.
