Due to the recent clarification from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS) regarding face-to-face
encounter requirements for home health care services, IBC?s draft policy on
home health care services (#02.01.01c),
slated to become effective July 22, 2014, has been revised to remove the
requirements for a face-to-face encounter
by the certifying professional provider prior to certifying an individual's
eligibility for home care services.

Notifications box. You can also view policy notifications using the

in effect on July 22, 2014, it will be available by using the Search box on the
Medical Policy homepage.
