New Pennsylvania Prescription Drug Monitoring Programsystem now available

The Pennsylvania Department of Health has developed the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) to assist providers in getting help for their patients who are suffering from opioid dependence.

Registration is now open on the Pennsylvania PDMP Portal, PA PMP AWARxE, for all Pennsylvania prescribers, pharmacists, and their delegates. The portal contains information that can aid health care providers in identifying their patients who are struggling with a substance use disorder by allowing providers to look up their patients? controlled substance history before prescribing these medications.
