We recognize that some Independence members may have difficulty 
communicating because of an inability to speak or understand English. For these 
members, Independence provides free language assistance services through 
CyraCom? International, Inc., an independent company. 
Please instruct your Independence patients (or their friend or family 
member) who speak languages other than English to call the Customer Service 
number listed on the back of their member ID card and follow the prompts or 
wait to speak with a Customer Service representative. Members can also call to 
schedule telephonic interpreter services in advance of their next 
appointment.
Independence also offers free telephone language-line services (TTY/TDD: 
711) for members who are deaf or hearing-impaired.
