In the coming weeks, we will be conducting an assessment of our Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) audit process to ensure we have the proper protocols in place to prepare for and comply with requirements from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This assessment will pertain to medical records for 2014 dates of service for select Independence Medicare Advantage HMO members.

Independence has contracted with Accenture^®, an independent medical record retrieval vendor, to collect medical records on Independence's behalf. If your office receives a request for medical records, we ask for your cooperation in providing the information in a timely manner.
