For your convenience, we recently published the following standard
physician fee schedules (effective July 1, 2014) on Independence NaviNet Plan
Central:
- Cardiology
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Primary Care Physician
- Professional Injectable and Vaccine*
- Rheumatology
These complete fee schedules are in addition to the summaries of fee schedule
changes that were published earlier this year. To access these documents,
select
Independence Blue Cross from the Plan Central drop-down menu,
and then go to the Administrative Tools & Resources section under the Standard
Fee Schedules header.
Allowance Inquiry transaction coming soon
The new Allowance Inquiry transaction — which replaces the retired Fee
Schedule Inquiry transaction — is scheduled to be available in February
2015. This new transaction will return fees for professional providers
only and will indicate where primary care physician capitation is
generally applicable. The fees returned via Allowance Inquiry will be
associated with migrated members only and will not include results for
Traditional or Comprehensive Major Medical members.
Note: Provider payment allowance information will be for
informational purposes only and will not be a guarantee of payment for the
amount displayed.
*The Professional Injectable and Vaccine Fee Schedule is
updated quarterly. We have published the July 1, 2014, and October 1, 2014, fee
schedules.
