There’s no getting around it. The Coronavirus has changed our daily lives, especially the way we stay active. Exercise is a key part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and can support a healthy immune system ¹. We encourage you to “suggest” SilverSneakers video programs to keep your Independence Medicare Advantage members active during these challenging times. Giving members at-home exercise options can make a big difference.

SilverSneakers offers a variety of virtual workouts and is included with many Medicare Advantage health plans. Eligible members can enjoy all the benefits at no additional cost. The following resources are available to help members stay active at home:

• SilverSneakers Live. SilverSneakers is now offering full-length, live video classes and workshops on their website, via Zoom ². Classes and workshops are led by top trainers and no equipment is needed. Multiple activities are available per day and range from cardio dance to yoga and The Happiness Effect workshop to Balance Builders.
• SilverSneakers On-Demand. SilverSneakers On-Demand is included with membership and provides access to 200+ online workout videos ranging from easy, low-impact exercises to high-energy cardio. Members can also get information on topics like nutrition, fitness challenges, and more.

To view on-demand workouts like SilverSneakers Classic, Yoga, etc., members can log in to SilverSneakers.com (or create   an account).

• SilverSneakers GO^TM. Members can access workout programs that can be tailored to their fitness level on our fitness app, SilverSneakers GO, and can modify the exercises to make them easier or harder with just one click. The app can be downloaded on Apple or Google stores.
