​Independence to update telemedicine coverage in 2021

Independence will update coverage of telemedicine services for members enrolled in commercial plans, effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2021. This includes updates to eligible services and provider specialties.

For more information about telemedicine services, please refer to Independence Medical Policy #00.10.41h: Telemedicine Services (Independence). It was posted as a Notification on October 2, 2020, and will go into effect January 1, 2021.
