​A new Medical Policy on Psychiatric collaborative management (CoCM) will go into effect May 30, 2022, for all Independence Commercial and Medicare Advantage members. This policy is being created to communicate reimbursement for psychiatric collaborative care services managed through a team approach, which typically includes a primary care provider, behavioral health care manager, and psychiatric consultant.

Notifications for Commercial and Medicare Advantage were posted on April 29, 2022.
