Effective September 11, 2022, Independence Blue Cross (Independence) has updated its medical policy on musculoskeletal services for both Commercial and Medicare Advantage members.
Effective for dates of service on or after September 11, 2022, AIM Specialty Health® (AIM) has revised their Clinical Appropriateness Guidelines for Musculoskeletal. For full details, view the specific guidelines.
Additionally, effective September 11, 2022, the coverage position of CPT® code 27345 will be considered medically necessary and will require precertification with AIM.
