​On January 23, 2023, a new medical policy on remote patient monitoring went into effect for all Independence Blue Cross Medicare Advantage members. This policy was created to communicate separate reimbursement for Company-approved remote patient monitoring programs for individuals with acute decompensated heart failure.

For review and approval, remote patient monitoring program submissions must be sent to UMprogramsubmission@ibx.com.
